1. Overview
MVME162-012 is a classic 6U single-height VME single-board computer built around Motorola MC68LC040 (25MHz) 32-bit processor with MMU and 8KB internal cache, no floating-point unit. Standard onboard configuration includes 4MB shared DRAM, 10/100Mbps Ethernet controller, dual RS232/422 serial ports, 4 IndustryPack expansion slots for analog/digital I/O modules, and multi-status LED indicators on front panel. It acts as a standalone computing node for Honeywell TDC3000 LCN auxiliary nodes, power plant control racks, railway signal cabinets and military embedded equipment. Equipped with battery-backed NVRAM/RTC, multi-stage watchdog timer, hardware reset & abort buttons, and full VME A32/D64 bus master capability for high-speed inter-board data exchange. Rugged industrial design supports long-term continuous operation under electromagnetic interference environments.
